Energy & Natural Resources Conference

On November 16th, Nero Delta Inc. was proud to sponsor a flagship event organized by the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA).

The KCBC (Kazakhstan Canada Business Council) Energy & Natural Resources Working Group Conference was attended by multiple honorable C-level officers, from both Canadian and Kazakhstan organizations, in the energy and government sectors.

Kazakhstan has made many positive changes to encourage foreign corporations’ investment in large-scale energy projects. In the past six years, Kazakhstan has increased its hydropower plants’ installed capacity from 119 MW to 225 MW. The country also grew the number of Renewable Energy Systems (RES) facilities from 26 to 110.

Their current RES development is only 3% of the entire energy supply in Kazakhstan. To rectify this situation, the government has an ambitious (but realistic) goal to grow that number to 6% by 2025 and 10% by 2030.

This vision on the part of Kazakhstan provides a bright outlook for Nero Delta as we look forward to helping them modernize their existing hydro and thermopower plants.
